Councillor Wayne Harvey Meets Lower School

21st April 2015

I would just like to thank all the staff and pupils for inviting me to Bristol Gateway School. It was a really enjoyable visit, everyone made myself and Peter Abraham feel very welcome.

The boys engaged with us and they asked some very good questions, they had worked extremely hard on the subject of politics and the General elections. For example, NHS, Housing, Public Transport, immigration, Homeless people to name a few. > They had come very well prepared with all their questions written down in their subject books, they also had pencils to take down notes.

The content of the visit was very rewarding not just for the pupils but us as well.  I must also mention that their behaviour was excellent, they are a credit to you and the school.  Please relay this message to the staff, pupils and of course their parents.  As a local ward councillor engaging with lots of different organisations within the community, I must say that this was the most enjoyable and interesting things that I have ever been involved with.

May I take this opportunity to say that I hope you all have a great may bank holiday break.  Please feel free to contact me for any help in the future.

Very best wishes

Cllr Wayne Harvey
